Pet Loss Grief
Therapy
You Are Not Alone
If you are reading this now it is probably because you’ve recently lost your pet.
The loss may have been sudden and unexpected or the end of a long journey for your senior pet or somewhere in between. Regardless, grief is grief – the loss is real and you deserve support at this very difficult time in your life.
First, my deepest sympathy goes out to you in the loss of your beloved. You may feel that you will never get past the awful feelings you are experiencing right now. But I want you to know you can make it through this time by understanding the grief process, reducing trauma from the loss using EMDR, learning what is normal, and getting support from trusted sources. While doing so, you honor the memory of your pet and the unique bond you shared- moment to moment, day by day, week in and week out, throughout the months and years as your lives became intertwined. Although you are unique and your pet is unique – you share a common bond with other pet guardians who are experiencing the loss of their beloved and grieving like you.
You are not alone in your pain.
Helping you along this path of grief is a passion of mine born out of personal heartache and loss of my own beloved pets through the years. The trauma I felt and the lack of compassionate and knowledgeable therapists led me to pursue pet loss as a specialty.
This therapy is dedicated to the memory of Bosco, Jody and Moochie and to the memory of all the wonderful pets grieved by the pet parents who have passed through my doors seeking help.
